Background information

Short Description of the product: Dianabol is the most recognised trade name for the drug API (active pharmaceutical ingredient ) methandrostenolone. Dianabol is also probably the best known anabolic steroid in the world and more often than not the product of choice as an introduction to the life style of weight lifting and hormone replacement. The reason for this is that it is oral and not injectable and the results are dramatic and always satisfactory as a beginner drug.

Methandrostenolone is a testosterone derivative. The hormone (testosterone) has been modified to reduce its androgenic effects and increase its anabolic effects. Although its classified as an anabolic steroid it is still very androgenic and on the high end of the androgen classification if compared to other anabolics. 

The way they derived this testosterone is twofold. Firstly they added a methyl group at carbon 17-alpha to protect the hormone when taking it orally from stomach acids. Secondly they introduced a double bond between carbon 1 and 2 which reduces its relative androgenicity. This steroid has therefore a much weaker affinity for binding with the androgen receptor than testosterone itself. Dianabol is a very potent anabolic steroid. 

Characteristics

Dianabol does aromatise in the body and gynecomastia is often a concern when taking this drug. Water retention on Dianabol is usually very high and very noticeable. Water retention is so common that Dianabol is almost defined by this characteristic. The estrogen conversion causes an increase in bodyfat on top of the water retention. It is absolute necessary to add a anti estrogen like Nolvadex or Proviron to a stack of Dianabol. Unlike Oxymethelone (Anapolon) Arimadex will also work very effectively for combatting the estrogen side effects that DIanabol presents. 

Cycles

Cycles on Dianabol is usually around 6 to 8 weeks and then a 6 to 8 weeks gap. Dianabol is toxic on the liver and kidneys but has very drastic results. Therefore long cycles are not necessary and it is better to get on, get the results and then get off Dianabol and give your system a rest. 

Stacks and results

The muscle and strength gains with Dianabol is so exceptional that it will always be a favourite among athletes even with the side effects of water retention and strain on the liver and kidneys. If you add a mild anabolic steroid like Deca to Dianabol the side effects are not more than when you take Dianabolon its own but the results are better. For sheer mass many athletes add a Testosterone Cypionate or Enanthate to the Deca and Dianabol stack. Dianabol cannot be used pre-contest. Even with an anti-estrogen the muscles will look very bloated and you will most likely loose definition on this super bulking agent.
